The Danish Digital Strategy 2016-2020
The Danish Digital Strategy 2016-2020 is a collaboration between central, regional and local governments in Denmark, which make up the foundation for the Danish public sector of the future. The strategy is comprised of a number of funds which are allocated to initiatives promoting cross-sectoral use of digital technologies in the public sector. The strategy is thus one of the most important frameworks for the modernisation of the public sector. It has been designed to ensure that technology is utilised to create a coherent, effective and growth-creating society.
The Agency for Data Supply and Infrastructure has a significant role in bringing this strategy into operation. It is responsible for four of the strategy initiatives: infrastructure for positioning and navigation data; common data on topography, climate and water; open data on energy supply; and, exchange of data on underground infrastructure.
